Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori carpets gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea takes shape: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn.
