Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design with a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand caught this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea has been paving the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our rugs are handcrafted entirely using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
