Goti Terrecotte boasts over fifty years of experience born from the owner Giancarlo's strong passions. Mr. Giancarlo began his journey as a ceramic decorator apprentice, later opening a small artisan workshop in Sesto Fiorentino after marrying Ms. Fiorella Goti. The expansion took place within a few years, and in 1973, he achieved progress by establishing his company in Calenzano, just a few kilometers from Florence, Tuscany. The knowledge accumulated over the years by Giancarlo through experimenting with materials and production techniques includes:

- Artistic casting of ceramic sculptures, replacing traditional molding processes

- Use of clay from the Impruneta quarries to produce frost-resistant cookware made from a unique family recipe, mixed and kneaded with water to create professional or outdoor food ovens with high-certified resistance and quality of heat-resistant terracotta fired at 1040°C.

A well-equipped laboratory allows for the handcrafted and personalized creation of jars, tiles, statues, planters, vases, sinks, chimneys, bricks on order, bas-reliefs, and various decorative items. The production department dedicated to wood-fired ovens has enabled Goti Terrecotte to be recognized internationally as a benchmark in the market for professional, home, and garden heat-resistant terracotta wood-fired ovens.

The product range, from classic to modern furniture, includes over 1000 items in the catalog. Additionally, the brand is prepared to produce custom items based on drawings or orders. Giancarlo, owner of Goti Terrecotte d'Autore, states that 90% of the production goes to the “garden of clients.”

Artifacts are left to cure for 5 days in a dedicated oven at 1040°C. Only careful drying before firing prevents cracking during firing and ensures high mechanical resistance. High quality is guaranteed, certified, and tested in a refractory material laboratory. The raw materials used are sourced directly from the Impruneta quarries. The clay found in Impruneta gives the finished product a unique color and extraordinary frost resistance.

For this reason, Goti Terrecotte seeks out and acquires prestigious Impruneta clay: an unrivaled raw material with remarkable properties, primarily “frost resistance,” meaning it does not absorb water and can withstand even the lowest temperatures almost indefinitely. Of course, the manufacturing process is also refined and more complex, with longer processing times: Impruneta clay is shaped, undergoes very slow drying, and is fired at extremely high temperatures.
