Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, the second in Rovigo, selling home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative carpet designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.

All our carpets are entirely handmade using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
