Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, for home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern pattern of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, repainted, and sewn by hand.
