Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design with a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These luxury rugs are gaining recognition worldwide, becoming coveted items in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly suits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
