Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative carpet designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These elegant carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
