Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These luxurious carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
