Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, the second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A significant project was launched in 2008. Collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
