Description

Majestic contemporary Lazuli coffee table featuring floral motifs across its entire surface. The modern tabletop showcases an inlay effect with floral patterns made from Kauri veneers, while each of the five-sided surfaces on the base is a modern mosaic of Portuguese tiles.

Similar to the famous tile, the decorations on the geometric facets not only resemble jewelry but are actually crafted in the same way, with floral motifs cut from brass. The black glass against these metallic tiles creates a fashionable contrast with this stunning piece of furniture.

Malabar was founded in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has left its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing innovative design.

Malabar’s furniture production originates from the Porto region in northern Portugal, an area with a long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exceptional brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotion, handcrafted execution, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of elegant furniture.

The various techniques used to craft products from natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and striking hues dominate, significantly deviating from traditional and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in their bold furniture designs.

The company's name is derived from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices motivated Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to set highly individual design boundaries and evoke strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.

These are the types of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The company employs the most luxurious types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, rose, and tiger-colored leaf is applied, then lacquered.

Precise options include chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gilded brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brushed brass, and hammered polished copper.
