The company was established in the late 1980s, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. It uses Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep. They graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This special property makes the brand’s rugs more resistant to dirt.
Interesting colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for creating rugs comes from Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, and architecture. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the subtle hues of the setting sun over the inaccessible peaks of the Himalayas.
All OC rugs are handmade from highly selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is natural and eco-friendly, utilizing organic materials such as nuts, roots, or saffron, while maintaining the highest quality.
