The company was established in the late 1980s, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. It uses Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep. They graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This unique property makes the brand’s carpets more resistant to dirt.
Interesting colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for creating carpets comes from Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, and architecture. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or subtle shades of the setting sun over the inaccessible peaks of the Himalayas.
All OC carpets are handmade from highly selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is natural and eco-friendly, using organic materials such as nuts, roots, or saffron, while maintaining the highest quality.
