Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded Italian market design to the world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that a headquarters was opened in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn.
