In complete opposition to this situation, the philosophy of Berti Knives brand is to produce exceptional knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be entirely detached from the trends that have taken place worldwide over the years. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any changes. They are very welcome, provided that they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can meet long-term quality standards.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of artisans, but are often carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The best quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles are crafted from materials including buffalo horns, bison, deer, as well as 'bosso' wood.
