Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and contemporary furniture needs.
