The inspiration for the Avenue model comes from gravel paths that the founders of Fort Street Studio encountered during their trip through Italy. They were captivated by the varying widths of the roads, their uneven textures, and their peculiar beauty. Inspired by this view, they created a rug made from natural wool and silk with a weaving density of 120 knots.
A completely new approach to dyeing, the highest quality yarns and silk threads, and careful color matching are the main advantages of Fort Street Studio. These rugs are always works of art, a synergy of artistic creative power and functional aesthetics.
Fort Street Studio is a company founded by a pair of creators – Janis Provisor and Brad Davis, who decided to channel their immense dedication to art into interior design. Their works, before jointly promoting their own brand, were exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and Albright Knox Gallery, among others.
Thanks to the ingenuity and talent of this pair, a unique brand was born – based on extraordinary, inventive designs and the finest materials. Fort Street Studio – the name comes from the street where the artists lived – has been setting new trends in interior decoration for over two decades. The company has showcased its products at fairs in Paris, London, and Milan, and in 2010, established a collaboration with the French department store Hermès.
