Odegard Carpets was established in 1987, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. The brand often uses Himalayan wool in its production. This wool comes from sheep grazing at altitudes above 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which makes these rugs more resistant to dirt.
Vivid colors are achieved through hand processing and dyeing. Inspirations for the rug designs include Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the hues of the sunset over the Himalayan peaks.
