Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori carpets gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These elegant carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created, combining noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.

All our carpets are handcrafted entirely using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy, under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international company selling high-quality, valuable carpets worldwide and serving as a benchmark for Italian-made designer carpets.
