The origins of the New York-based brand W&W date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
The production uses raw materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Plants are also used in the dyeing process, which will appeal to all those who care about ecology.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly skilled workers craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased amount of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a beautiful sheen.
