Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long-standing tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori carpet pattern started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market design worldwide. These luxurious carpets gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern concept has paved the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
