Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design with a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its market design to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming desirable items in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
