OC has always based its entire production on the highest quality standards. This is achieved not only by selecting the finest available materials but also through a strong ecological awareness. It is this awareness that largely influences the process of creating such exceptional products.
The company began its operations in 1987, revolutionizing the traditional world of weaving craftsmanship. They prefer to produce using Himalayan wool from sheep grazing at altitudes above 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is particularly rich in lanolin, which makes OC wool rugs more stain-resistant.
Beautiful colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for the rug designs was drawn from a combination of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by the shapes of tropical leaves or the saturated hues of the setting sun over the peaks of the inaccessible Himalayas.
All rugs from this company are handcrafted from highly selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. Wool dyeing occurs through a natural process using only organic materials, while maintaining the highest quality.
