The origins of the New York-based brand Warp & Weft date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
The rugs are made using, for example, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen. Natural plant dyes are used for coloring. All products are crafted in Nepal, where highly talented artisans work on them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished and given their final appearance. Thanks to a higher content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
