Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 the second in Rovigo, for home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand caught this trend and expanded its market design to the whole world. These luxurious carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the modern idea paves the way: using old carpets to create something completely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
