The brand's origins date back to 1988 and a small London workshop. The ambitions of the people producing these items led to the brand's development. The true breakthrough came with new British artisans who inspired the original creators. Over time, ideas multiplied, and Porta Romana became a global company.

The design studio is led by Shazeen Emambux. The artists discuss their projects with craftsmen to create designer pieces.
