Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the innovative pattern of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market to the whole world. These prestigious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea has paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn.
