Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug pattern started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea has paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand.
