Description

In the 15th and 16th centuries, Portugal discovered numerous territories and maritime routes. The Portuguese sailed around the world, exploring and mapping the coasts of Africa, India, Canada, and Brazil. Malabar was inspired by these maritime discoveries to design this contemporary table, which honors Portugal’s glorious era. Because it is the most significant part of Portugal’s history.

Inspired by the divine vision of new lands seen from distant waters, this modern table was designed with organic shoreline contours in mind. The tabletop is finished with walnut wood with a high gloss to evoke Portugal’s triumph.

This modern table is perfect for elevating your contemporary home decor. The Horizon modern table is part of the Heritage collection.

Malabar Factory was established in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.

Malabar has made its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.

Malabar furniture production comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this luxury brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted techniques, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.

The various techniques used in creating products from natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Juicy and vivid hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the manufactory uses brass, gold and silver leaf, and other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.

The company’s name itself derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to set highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.

These are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce to the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in production?

The company employs the most exclusive types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, wenge, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.
