Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its market design to the whole world. These prestigious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
All our rugs are entirely handcrafted using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
