Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous American architect and leader of the Prairie School, took us on a journey of modernist design, and Malabar designed the Volute Side Table, from the same family as the Volute Dining Table, combining the organic design of the building with marquetry technique. This modern and conceptual table features a top made of extra-clear glass with a lacquered iron frame finished with a high-gloss lacquer.

It is supported by a base composed of hardwood and lacquered wooden layers finished with high-gloss lacquer. This artistic piece of furniture is an enigmatic decorative element for any interior.

The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, along with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the World Architects collection of stylish furniture. It has designed and released a total of 5 unique series of furniture and accessories.

Malabar's furniture production comes from the Oporto area, a northern region in Portugal, with a long and strong tradition in handmade products.

What raw materials does Malabar use?

The company uses the most refined varieties of wood. These include: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird's eye, uneven, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer application techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, rose, tiger color leaf is applied, and then lacquered. 

Types of glass used by the manufacturer: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique bronze.

The types of marble are also varied, including: sahara, gray kenzo, nero marquina, portoro, gris douro, black gold, Guatemala Verde, tiger skin, ochiro, calacatta vagli, Estremoz, carrara gold, carrara, white extremez, travertine.
