Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family tradition. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great nod to family and multi-generational craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflected in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these exclusive mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – a very important consortium, which is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively working to strengthen the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is a highly significant initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud of their Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

That’s why Ongaro & Fuga’s exquisite mirrors come at a price. The work involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. For centuries, artisans have driven the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of the product with their hands. Everything begins with a drawing on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design. Using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones, carefully refining sharp edges and uneven surfaces.
