In complete opposition to this, the philosophy of Berti Knives is based on creating exceptional knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its most important value is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these master craftsmen.

The founders strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the knives produced. For this reason, their company's work philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike others, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are, among others, crafted from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.

The owners recommend that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. After all, each one is a small, unique artifact.
