Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design combined with a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 opening a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern rug design by Sartori started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These exciting rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
