Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, the second in Rovigo, for home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative pattern of Sartori carpets started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand caught this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These elegant carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea has paved the way: using old carpets to create something completely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that fits perfectly into modern environments and meets the needs of contemporary furniture.
