Description

Following the trend set by Amélie Dressing Table, the Petit Amélie vanity has been introduced, expressing mysticism and mystery. This small version of the vanity is finished in black lacquer, adorned with a brass structure and gold accents.

The surface of the Petit Amélie vanity reflects the seven secrets of eternal beauty of the last Queen of Portugal. Petit  Amélie was designed by Malabar and is part of the Heritage collection.

The Malabar factory, established in 2012, launched a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and a collection of stylish furniture by World Architects. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing design.

Malabar’s furniture production comes from the Porto area in northern Portugal, a region with a long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exclusive brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.

The use of various techniques in working with natural wood produces incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and bold hues dominate, significantly diverging from traditional and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in the daring furniture designs.

The company’s name comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The rarity of original spices motivated Portuguese merchants to chart a bold sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely exclusive.

And these are the products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use?

The brand employs the most luxurious types of wood. These include: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaf are applied, then lacquered.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, Gray Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger Skin, Ochre, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara Gold, Carrara, White Extreme, and Travertine.

Metals are selected based on efficiency and quality. High-grade premium metals such as copper, stainless steel, and galvanized steel are used. Specifically: chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gilded brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brushed brass, brass, and hammered polished copper.

We are happy to arrange a meeting and present all available materials about the Malabar brand. Our Luxury Products team will advise and select the most suitable furnishings and accessories for your interiors.
