Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea has been paving the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, repainted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly suits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
