Thai silk, renowned worldwide for its extraordinary softness and sheen, makes the Fort Street Studio rug one of a kind. The weaving density is 120 knots.
The Fort Street Studio brand is associated with the highest quality silk yarns and threads, meticulous color matching, and a unique approach to dyeing yarns. Each rug from this brand is crafted with care, serving as a work of art, a synergy of artistic mastery and functional aesthetics.
Fort Street Studio was founded by two artists – Janis Provisor and Brada Davis, who transferred their passion for art into interior design. Their works, before they jointly dedicated themselves to building the brand from scratch, were exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and Albright Knox Gallery.
Thanks to great creativity and exceptional skills, a brand was created that stands out from all others – based on unusual, inventive designs and carefully selected materials. Fort Street Studio – the name comes from the street where the artists' house was located – has been setting new trends in interior design for over two decades. The brand has showcased its products at fairs in Paris, London, and Milan, and in 2010, it established a collaboration with the French department store Hermès.
