Zanetto cutlery was created out of a great passion that was born in Italy. The story begins in 1963. Young, talented artist Bernardo Zanetto, possessing an aesthetic sense and craftsmanship skills, created high-quality products that were awarded a gold medal at the International Craft Fair in Florence. Working alongside other craft enthusiasts, his workshop developed quickly and progressively, leading to retail sales in the most exclusive stores in Italy and abroad.

He perfected the production process using the PVD method, which proved to be excellent. Products coated with the PVD method are highly resistant to wear due to their hardness. Their durability against compressive stresses is increased by the impact resistance of the blades and thermal crack resistance.

Modern coatings combine these components in layers and/or laminar coatings. Laminar coatings consist of numerous thin layers, in the nanometer range, which make the coating even harder. Additionally, the process is carried out in a vacuum, making it environmentally friendly. Products finished with this technique can be given any gold color with an evenly applied layer
