Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These luxurious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a pioneering idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
