The brand dates back to 1988 and a small London workshop. The ambitions of the people creating these products led to the brand's growth. The true success came from new British artisans who inspired the original creators. Over time, ideas multiplied, and Porta Romana became a global brand.

The design studio is led by Shazeen Emambux. Artists discuss their projects with craftsmen to create innovative products.
