Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, for home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its Italian market design worldwide. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a groundbreaking idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
