We are proud to present the exceptionally luxurious manufactory Ongaro & Fuga, founded in 1954 by Franco Fuga and his wife Tullia Ongaro. The collaboration of these two highly creative individuals has resulted in a distinctive and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, reviving the magic and prestige of Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a significant nod to family traditions and multi-generational manufactories. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these elite mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – a very important consortium, which is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively working to strengthen the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is an extremely important initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud to hold the Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

How is the production process?

This is a truly extraordinary product in its essence. Its beauty is reflected in the very long work involved. Crafted with effort by hands, heart, and soul. That is why Ongaro and Fuga’s exceptional mirrors come with a price. The work involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is genuine luxury and a testament to how strong European family manufactories are. For centuries, artisans have driven the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of the product with their hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, the sharp edges and irregularities are refined. From a brilliant idea, an exclusive harmony of tradition and modernity is born! This is magic—these mirrors, if desired, can become the focal point of your interior.
