Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design with a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug pattern started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These prestigious rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created—a noble material blend that perfectly fits contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
All our rugs are handmade using high-quality noble materials and are born from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
