Description

Let's imagine an interior design studio, an architecture firm in Hiroshima, Japan, introducing nature into the boutique environment. By placing an infinite number of cardboard tubes in the shop, visitors can feel like they're walking through a forest or cave, recreating a rarely experienced organic environment right in the heart of the city.

The Wanderlust dining table belongs to the World Architects collection. This collection showcases Malabar's sharp sensitivity to modern design. The preference for minimalist and geometric lines of modernism, combined with a variety of rich wood species and materials, results in a sophisticated, elegant, and meticulously crafted contemporary collection.

Malabar Factory was founded in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. To date, it has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has made its mark at major international trade shows such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing innovative design.

Malabar furniture production originates from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exceptional brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that set such original companies apart. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of elegant furniture.

The use of various techniques in working with natural wood produces incredible effects, as seen in Malabar's exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and striking hues dominate, significantly deviating from traditional and stereotypical furniture styles.

In addition to wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.

The company's name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history after the discovery of the Cape. The rarity of authentic spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.

And these are exactly the products we love and bring to the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The company employs the most exclusive types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, wenge, basswood, olive wood, bird's eye, irregular grain, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaf are applied, then lacquered.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, grey Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger's Eye, Ochiro, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara gold, Carrara, White Extremez, and travertine.

Metals are selected based on efficiency and quality. High-quality premium metals such as copper, stainless steel, and galvanized steel are used. Precise finishes include chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gilded brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brass, and hammered polished copper.

We would be happy to arrange a meeting and present all available materials about the Malabar brand. Our Luxury Products team will advise and select the most suitable furnishings and accessories for your interiors.
