Description
The list of books from the first volume of this series, Stoker's Wilde: “Pass this volume to readers who crave more historical tales set in supernatural worlds.”
Science and supernatural phenomena collide in this chilling story of witches, reanimated corpses, and spirits attacking our world from beyond the grave.
Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde return to their lives in London after adventures in the American West. Bram manages a theatre, and Oscar gains fame and plans his upcoming wedding when they are once again called to fight supernatural evil.
Grief-stricken scientist Victor Mueller needs Bram's extraordinary blood for his mad quest to bring his deceased wife back to life. To obtain it, he resorts to kidnapping. Meanwhile, young medium Lorna Bow conducts fake séances in London under the watchful eye of her aggressive uncle. When her mother, Endora, returns, Lorna learns the truth: they come from a long line of witches, and soon Endora will awaken Lorna’s dormant powers.
When the scientist and the witches join forces, hell breaks loose. Long-dead souls find themselves back among the living, and some have scores to settle with our heroes. But as Mueller’s ambition and his mother’s desire for revenge against the men who imprisoned her become clear, Lorna begins to question the morality of their work.
Bram and Oscar must team up with American secret agent Cora Chase to protect everything they hold dear. Only a mission in the Land of the Dead can stop Mueller and Endora from resurrecting more souls.
Bram’s wife, Florence, must call upon her monster-fighting skills honed in America, and even Oscar’s fiancée, Constance, must face new challenges when she learns how supernatural forces have shaped her own history.
In an adventure spanning continents and even other worlds, they confront old enemies and unknown dangers. Together with old friends Teddy Roosevelt and Richard Burton, as well as new allies like Arthur Conan Doyle and Nikola Tesla, they must harness both science and magic to protect our world from intruders from the Land of the Dead.
