Description

Isolated on the heaths of northern England, the town of Moonwell remained true to its druidic traditions and kept its ancient rituals alive. Right-wing evangelist Godwin Mann does not intend to let this continue, and his intolerant form of fundamentalism strikes at the residents. But Mann goes too far, descending into the depths where an ancient being, worshipped by druids for centuries, is said to reside. A demon appears in the form of Mann, and only the outcasts of the town see that something is terribly wrong. As evil spreads, Moonwell is cut off from the rest of the world…

FLAME TREE PRESS is the new imprint of Flame Tree Publishing. Launched in 2018, its list focuses on new, brilliant authors and more established ones; award-winners and exciting, original voices.

Original titles and a wide range of authors are synonymous with the Flame Tree Publishing brand.

“The aim… is to wipe the dust of everyday life from our souls” Pablo Picasso.

“Flame Tree Publishing has been dusting off the mundane for over twenty years, creating illustrated books since 1992, artistic calendars since 1998, and illustrated e-books since 2009. Their extensive list includes powerful and eloquent artists such as Erté and Alphonse Mucha, complemented by broad licensing in their award-winning calendar lines, with Tate, V&A, RSC, RA, and many others.

Thanks to a wide range of authors, editors, and writers—from Vladimir Ashkenazy, Steve Hackett, John Howe, Sir George Martin, Brian May, Paul du Noyer, Paco Peña, Stanley Sadie—the company strives to create illustrated projects that are affordable, useful, and beautiful. In addition to printed titles, their exceptional selection of practical cookbooks, music books, pop culture, and lifestyle titles is increasingly available in digital formats. The publisher believes that well-reviewed, thoughtfully curated content should be available in many different formats to meet their readers’ needs.
