We proudly present the exceptionally luxurious brand Ongaro & Fuga, founded in 1954 by Franco Fuga and his wife Tullia Ongaro. The combination of these two highly creative individuals gave rise to a bold and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, through which they revive the magic and elegance of Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great nod to family traditions and multi-generational manufactories. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides lively material for new projects. Many of these exclusive mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – a very important consortium that is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been continuously working to strengthen the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is an extremely important initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud of their Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

What does production look like?

It is, in essence, an extraordinary product. The reflection of this beauty is a very long process. Crafted by hand, with heart and soul. That is why Ongaro and Fuga’s artistic mirrors come with a price. The work involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is true luxury and an example of how strong European family manufactories are. For centuries, it has been artisans who drove the evolution of the premium industry, deciding the final appearance of the product with their hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, refining sharp edges and unevenness. And so, from a brilliant idea, a luxurious harmony emerges that combines tradition with modernity! It’s magic—these mirrors, if they wish, will become the focal point of your interior.
