Description

The Chopin Room, inspired by one of the most characteristic features of Portuguese architecture (Casa Da Musica), is a magnificent concert hall in the center of Porto known for performances by a renowned orchestra. This stunning contemporary casing brings back rough lines combined with luxurious and modern gold details.

The modern Chopin wardrobe is covered on the outside with black lacquered wood, and the interior is filled with subtle gold leaf and classic glass shelves. This iconic and contemporary furniture piece will transform your modern interiors into exceptional luxurious spaces.

Malabar was founded in 2012, with the introduction of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and a collection of stylish furniture by World Architects. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has made its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.

Malabar furniture production comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exceptional brand is based on the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted execution, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.

The various techniques used in producing natural wood products yield incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and striking colors dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.

In addition to wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.

The company’s name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

Even today, Malabar sets very individual boundaries in design and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.

And these are the products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The company uses the most luxurious types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also employs ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaf is applied, then lacquered.
