Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, the second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and contemporary furniture needs.
