Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern pattern of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These elegant rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, repainted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
All our rugs are handcrafted entirely using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international brand selling rugs of exceptional quality and value worldwide, serving as a reference point for Italian-made designer rugs.
