The Italian company Mepra was founded in 1947, but the entrepreneurial story of the Prandelli family began many years earlier. In 1901, brothers Bortolo, Francesco, and Giovanbattista established the first family business Prandelli in the Lumezzane valley on the banks of the Gobbia River to harness kinetic energy from water to power machinery.
